Our Dogs

We focus on a low stress kennel-free environment We treat each dog as an individual We have a huge yard and lots of wooded trails for fun and exercise We have a special program for small dogs with lots of human contact We screen our dogs before they are able to come and stay with us We have limited space to support a stress-free boarding experience

Our Facility

We practice positive methods of behavior We filter all of our water and use simple detergents to wash our bedding & bowls

  

We make all of our own non-toxic cleaners We use zero VOC finishes in our home including the finish on the floors! We recycle glass, cans, plastic, plastic bags, and paper We promote a holistic diet for our canine friends and help educate our clients about the benifits of a good diet for their dogs. We also accepts dogs on special diets including raw We promote holistic vet care when possible and accept dogs with compromised immune systems. This give them an option to traditional boading where they can get over

  stressed.

 Our shuttle van is powered by recycled vegetable oil from local restaurants.

Almost Home Dogs sleep where they sleep at home Romping and socializing occur outside, or in, depending on the size of your dog and their level of socialzatIon

 

Extra small dogs spend alot of time in laps, playing with their friends inside, or finding a good spot to take a nap Almost Home is air conditioned & heated. It has many comfortable places for alone time, playing with toys, constructive chewing, or being with people Outside is a place for playing hard, sun-bathing on the porch, dreaming, or just plain hanging out with friends on one of our numerous dog trails
