| Here at Almost Home Pet Farm, we practice positive training only. We don't use prong collars, choke chains, slip leads or Shock Collars (a.k.a E-collars) |
| You can have a well-behaved canine without showing dominance over them. Our goal is to have a respectful relationship with our dogs where we communicate effectively. This helps end frustration at both ends of the leash. |
| Behavior Consultation Does your dog(s) have a specific behavior that needs extra attention? Are you at your wit's end with something your dog is doing? Do you feel like you and your dog just don't communicate anymore? Our behaviorist, Peg Harrington of The Happy Hound, offers private behavior consultations for individuals and families who need their concerns addressed by an expert. Common issues for a behavior consult include aggression toward strangers, family members or other dogs; anxiety; housetraining; frustration; barking, leash aggression and rough play. The initial evaluation session lasts approximately one and a half hours and usually takes place at your home. If follow up visits are needed, they typically last sixty minutes. In order to schedule an evaluation with our behaviorist, you must fill out the form below. Peg will contact you via telephone within 48 hours to discuss your options, have you fill out her evaluation form, and schedule a meeting. Serious inquires only. All behavior consultations are $90 for your first meeting. $60 for each hourly follow up session if they are needed. Aggressive and multi-dog consultations are $135 and take place at the Happy Hound Training Center in Nashville. All of our behavior consultations are pre-paid. In the event that our behaviorist in unable to meet with you, your money will be refunded. |

I personally assume all responsibility and liability when entering the property of Almost Home Pet Farm or The Happy Hound Nashville for whatever purpose at my own risk, including without limitation such risks, clams or injuries as my dog, my guests, or I may sustain as a result of other dogs and/or their owner's/handler's failure.
